I started dancing ballet as a child, when the whole reason for going to class was to get to wear a pink tutu. Ballet led to jazz which led to tap dancing, however, I had to stop when I become very ill around 10 years old and spent the next 4 years in and out of being bed stricken. Despite being unable to do much physical movement I would spend hours listening to music, imaging the dances and their movements. This built a great love for dance which still remains with me.

When I moved to San Francisco in 1999 I began dancing Salsa and Argentine Tango. I studied with Chelsea Eng and Christy Cote extensively and later, went on to become a principle member of Christy Cote’s LiberTango Dancers, performing in shows such as the 49ers half-time show and the Ethnic Dance Festival. I continued my training by study with tango masters Oscar Mandagaran and Georgina Vargas and studied with a variety of teachers in Buenos Aires.

I graduated with high honors from Ballroom Dance Teachers College, studying under Diane Jarmalow. I have continued my ballroom training with DVIDA certifications in all the Smooth Dances (Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango, and Viennese Watlz) and I continue to work on my Gold certifications.

Argentine Tango remains the dance closest to my heart but I enjoy teaching all the dances. I help couples get ready for the first dance at their wedding and couples get ready for a dance at their 50th anniversary. I teach people that have never taken a dance class and seasoned dancers who wish to refine their techniques. I truly believe that anyone can learn to dance and that it can be a fun and rewarding experience for everyone.
